𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬: They form a classic cap and stem. Their name comes from the deep burgundy color of their caps. It can grow as big as a portobello.

Wine Caps have a rich and earthy flavor, with a texture that is often compared to that of meat. Wine Cap mushrooms are also known as garden giant mushrooms, often grown in outdoor garden beds. Cultivating Wine Cap mushrooms is relatively easy, as they are hardy and can tolerate a wide range of growing conditions. They are typically grown on a substrate of hardwood chips or sawdust supplemented with nitrogen-rich materials such as straw or manure.
